Arsène et Les Pipelettes | Bathing Suit Berenice | Blue
The Arsene jacket is inspired on the French working jacket.
In its origin, it was a jacket made for carpenters from the XIX century, and it was called Coltin. Its simplicity and its practicality made it very successful: it was taken by rail workers (the famous Bleu de Chauffe or overall), then taken by the rest of workers and collars at the beginning of the 20th century. Its very simple shape allows people to move freely. Two side pockets, one utility pocket on the chest, 5 buttons and its t-shirt collar are the most distinctive fea- tures.
Even though it was not very popular during a time, it came back in the XXI century. That is why Arsene et les pipelettes wanted to take it and make it a symbol of its collections, because it is a concentrate of the brand’s state of mind all by itself: casual, comfortable but still elegant, unisex and multi-generational, timeless.
Uneven wash for a vintage look. Watch out, collector !
